So, the year is now so new upon us and we have quickly moved on from 2018. The students are taking their Principal’s Tests, and before you know it, we will see the first bud of Spring. Who I am fooling, I am cold!!! The turnout at the meeting this past week was phenomenal, and even more so, the turnout of neighbor for neighbor. The 50-50 collected almost $900.00, and school contributed another $100.00 to offer a total of $1000.00 to assist our dear seventh grader, Ava, who was stricken with a sudden illness. Thank you to all of you for your kindness and willingness to help, when called upon to do so.
Next month will bring the Winter Dance, Black History Presentations, Third Quarter – (brace yourselves- this is the long “quarter”), and a renewed focus on academics, preparing the children for the upcoming State Testing - PSSA Tests. Like them or not, these tests are very important in presenting your children to the schools of their futures. The best preparation is good attendance. Half the game plan is being present - we count on you to do that.
In all of the journey, we thank you for your support, for your encouragement, and for your kindness. CCCS is a great school and continues to shine, because of great families and great students.
Happy New Year to all of you.
